In this tutorial I present a boxing combination that uses the backhand / right uppercut and this time we are doubling up on the back hand much like how we threw the left hand twice with the double left hook.
In the previous video I introduced the uppercut punch technique and explained how uppercuts should be performed by using the lower body and not just the arm. The legs produce the force and your arm simply extends out to deliver the punch in the final moment before impact. You are also twist the core to add rotational force as you extend the hips and knee. While you are rotating you are shifting your body weight with the punch much like with every other type of punch.
In this video I will present a boxing combination that uses the right uppercut / back hand uppercut. I suggest practicing both combinations to build your competency in throwing uppercuts.
